Iridian has the capability to deposit different types of surface enhancement coatings including “anti-smudge” and “anti-fog” coatings, on areas up to 250 mm x 350 mm.
Anti-Smudge Coatings:
Used to make surfaces, especially touchscreens, more impervious to fingerprints and easier to wipe them off (High Contact Angle).
Anti-Fog Coatings:
Used to make glass or plastic surfaces more wettable – this reduces the beading of water on the treated surfaces. The low contact angle of a treated surface can be easily restored by either constant exposure to UV light and rain (if used outdoors) or by cleaning with a neutral detergent every 3-4 weeks.
